Unilabs offers Covid-19 tests to easyJet passengers in Spain and Portugal
“We are delighted to extend our collaboration with easyJet. Passengers boarding an easyJet plane in the Iberian Peninsula can now take advantage of this initiative – it’s a big step towards helping people to travel again,” said Martin Schlatter, Unilabs’ Chief Commercial Officer. “As international travel starts coming back, this deal offers easyJet passengers fast, effective, and reliable Covid-19 tests.”
“We are focused on ensuring that our customers can fly with maximum security this summer. At this point, we are delighted to present our partnership with Unilabs. Through this, easyJet reinforces its intention to make passenger travel more convenient and safer, offering them the possibility of accessing Covid-19 tests that are fast and accessible,” said Javier Gandara, easyJet Country Director for Southern Europe.
The system, under which Unilabs is easyJet’s “preferred partner” for Covid-19 testing, has been up and running in Switzerland since April, and further countries expected to be announced soon.
Unilabs offers PCR testing, the gold standard of Covid-19 tests, as well as antigen and serology tests. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Unilabs has performed more than ten million Covid-19 tests around the world.
With a network of labs and experts across 16 countries, Unilabs is helping companies, health authorities, and governments implement their testing strategies. Reliable testing is particularly vital in the context of mass vaccinations, the lifting of restrictions, and the resulting increase in mobility.
