Unilabs appoints Shalinee Basak as Group Chief HR Officer
Geneva, 1 August 2022: Unilabs, a leading diagnostic services provider, has appointed Shalinee Basak as Group Chief HR Officer. Basak will report to Michiel Boehmer, Unilabs’ CEO, and be part of the Unilabs Executive Management Team. She will be based in Geneva.

She will lead the overarching human resources strategy, own the continued evolution of the organisational architecture and run an HR transformation to enable the development of a best-in-class HR function geared to accelerate our strategic growth plans.”
Before joining Unilabs, Basak served as Vice President HR – EMEA, Vice President - Global Talent and HR Leader for Global Marketing, Digital and Communications at the Wella Company in Geneva. She has extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles in companies including Coty Inc. and Diageo Plc. Basak holds an MSc from the Management department of the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s in Psychology from a premier Indian University.
Shalinee Basak replaces Samantha Laurent, who will further bolster the development of Unilabs’ culture and leadership development agenda as the new Group Head of Culture.
