The EUR 45m investment from Unilabs is one of the biggest ever investments in healthcare diagnostics in the country and will help ensure better access to care for thousands of Portuguese patients.
  • Showing Covid the red card, Unilabs style
    ​​​​​​​Unilabs has lots of expertise with big events. We provided testing for the WebSummit Lisbon, Expo Dubai, a global cycling event in France, and various sports events in Switzerland and Slovakia. That made us the ideal partner to become the Confederation of African Football’s Covid-19 partner – responsible for testing all 1,500 players, team members, and referees at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021.

And of course, it has made us all much more aware of our own health. eHealth has proved to be a particularly good way of providing healthcare for diseases which are taboo – like sexual transmitted infections.     Unilabs, the leading European diagnostic services provider, is now part of Denmark’s A.P. Moller Holding, founded and run by the Maersk family. The deal, announced in December 2021, closed today.
  • Unilabs signs an agreement with AI provider Mindpeak, further bolstering its breast cancer offering
    Unilabs, the leading diagnostic services provider, has signed an agreement with Mindpeak, an AI solutions provider for digital pathology. Mindpeak’s AI technology will speed up breast cancer screening and make it more accurate. 
  • Unilabs acquired by Danish A.P. Moller Holding
    Unilabs, the leading European diagnostic services provider, has been acquired by A.P. Moller Holding, founded and run by the Maersk family. Unilabs’ majority owner, Apax Partners, agreed and signed the deal, with completion expected in the coming months.

    The world is constantly evolving and has been changing ever more rapidly since 2020. For instance, Covid-19 testing has resulted in a learned routine for everyone. We are all used to testing now.
